After Ardehia, we decided to start leaving Creuse region and go towards Puy de Dome, before going up on to the Plateau des Millevaches. After a day of biking we got at JM's house, near the town of Giat. We got there passing through a landscape of smooth hills, almost uninhabited. When we got there, once again M. and L., who took part to the tour by driving a van to be more comfortable with the 3-months old Ar., were already starting to make food for the rest of the group. When he arrived, after feeding the donkeys, JM proposed that we eat together around the fire. He lives alone with Cina and Night, two dogs. Meeting JM was another very important moment of the journey. With his knowledge on wild plants you can listen to him for hours as he confidentially unwinds the secrets of the plants around you. On the second day of our staying at JM, A. was playing the piano on top of which plenty of interesting books on plants laid, as others were taking their breakfast in the simple-looking kitchen of the house. At the end of the morning, some of us went to recuperate food in the market and to buy goat cheese from JM's friends. We came back with many boxes filled of fruits. So later on, as some were starting to prepare lunch, others were starting to do jam of apricots and peaches. We ate all together, the table full of cheese, bread, tomato salad, basil, and wild plants picked by JM. It was another special encounter.
